The Façade Inspection & Safety Program (FISP) in New York has undergone an extensive overhaul to address the increasing number of dangerous structural conditions that have caused injuries/loss of life and property damage. Some of the significant amendments include: 

• Qualified Exterior Wall Inspectors (QEWI) must meet stringent experience guidelines
• Inspection drops must be done every 60 feet
• Cavity wall probes required
• SWARMP and unsafe conditions clarifications
• Reports have photography requirements
• Public protection measures have been added
